After a successful month of free presentation checkups for Italian visitors, with good feedback from participants, I am happy to announce that the initiative will continue until  July 15th for English visitors and their English presentations.

Send your business presentation in PowerPoint or PDF format to info@lesswire.it with the subject “Checkup” and you will receive a Presentation Checkup report with 5 suggestions to improve your presentation. Only one checkup per week will be performed, first come first served, with a maximum of one checkup per person/company. Make sure to state how the presentation is used: self-running or with a presenter.

I ritardi in una connessione wireless possono creare problemi in varie situazioni, tra cui lo streaming audio/video, per esempio durante una webconference o una chiamata VoIP.
Una possibile soluzione in ambienti Windows XP e Windows Vista è proposta da un articolo sul blog Wirednetworks.

Si tratta di utilizzare tool che spengono la routine di Windows Wireless Zero Configuration che continua a fare lo scanning dei canali per cercare altre reti wireless. L’articolo suggerisce di controllare con un ping se ci sono ritardi nel collegamento e poi di utilizzare il tool Wireless Zero Shutdown (per XP) o Vista Anti Lag (per Vista) per disattivare questo servizio di Windows.
